Global Center of Excellence for Physical Sciences Frontier

FY2008-2012

Experts at The University of Tokyo join forces to address unsolved problems at the frontier of physical sciences. Promoting the “continual broadening of perspectives” for young researchers, this project also aims at developing training courses for “scientists deepening and expanding physics as a fundamental science,” “physicist leaders of the global society,” and “reformers and creators of industries and innovations.”

The Research and Training Center for New Development in Mathematics

This center aims to become a world-class venue undertaking advanced research in mathematics and fostering next generation leaders in the broad field of mathematical sciences. We intend to promote development of pure and applied mathematics simultaneously.
