On August 7 (Tuesday) at the Hongo Campus, the University of Tokyo&#8217;s 2012 Open Campus for high school students was attended by about 7,200 visitors. The Open Campus has been held annually since 2000 and gives high school students and other applicants a chance to see and deepen their understanding of the University at first hand. Visiting students experienced education and research at the University through participation in lectures and laboratory visits to their faculty of choice. In addition, current students provided advice, campus tours, and guidance for female students, and the General Library and University Museum were highly popular.
