In the “Music & Science” concert series, live music is performed in the Intermediatheque exhibition spaces. Through the dialogue between the world of “Art & Science” and music, an attempt at a new experience of synaesthesia is made.
The present concert will feature Irish traditional music performed by Picnics.
In April 2015, Nepal was hit by an earthquake of an unprecedented scale. During the present concert, fund raising will be conducted by EAST→←WEST, an association working for Nepal’s reconstruction after the earthquake disaster. The association is formed by members of the Specimen Room of the University Museum, the University of Tokyo and by performers of Irish traditional music around Tokyo. The funds collected will be donated in totality to an NPO exclusively working to support Nepal’s recovery.
