Information Session on the EDGE (Entrepreneur Education) Program

The EDGE Program, an entrepreneur education program, will start at the beginning of September 2015. We'd like to hold a briefing session on June 16^th at the Head Administration Office of Engineering (Reppinkan) Building at the University of Tokyo for those interested.

• EDGE Program features
  • Improvement of your skills for coming up with business plans based on your research outcomes
  • Mentoring by entrepreneur specialists such as venture capitalists
  • Having a great opportunity to make presentations to entrepreneur specialists at Silicon Valley in the US
  • No fees

• Applicant eligibility
  • Master's or Doctoral course graduate students at the University of Tokyo
  • Post Doctor at the University of Tokyo

  • September 2015 - February 2016

• Schedule
  • June 25^th : Application deadline
  • At the beginning of September: kicking off the EDGE Program with the 1^st study session and workshop
  • In the middle of October: 2^nd study session and workshop and 1^st presentation on your business plan
  • From October through December: individual mentoring by entrepreneur specialists in order to brush up your business plan
  • In the middle of November: 2^nd presentation on the revised business plan
  • At the end of December: Final presentation and team selection for Silicon Valley training session  
  • In the middle of February: Visit to Silicon Valley and presentation of your business plan to venture capital companies in the US
