MIT students visited UTokyo, learned Japanese and experienced Japanese culture

June 20, 2014

Date of activity: May 28, 2014 - June 12, 2014

We had MIT students visiting UTokyo Hongo Campus from May 28 through June 12. Since Winter Semester 2011, Global Center for Innovation in Engineering Education (GCIEE) has been offering a course called M-Skype where UTokyo students exchange language with MIT students through Skype. The students from MIT studied Japanese as their second major at MIT. They visited the Faculty of Engineering also this year to study Japanese in our Japanese classes and to join the M-Skype class to discuss with UTokyo students. They also spent their time out of campus experiencing Japanese life and culture.
