2017 University of Tokyo Autumn Semester Diploma Presentation and Commencement Ceremony Held

The 2017 University of Tokyo Autumn Semester Diploma Presentation and Commencement Ceremony was held at Yasuda Auditorium on Friday, September 15, 2017.
The ceremony began at 10:00 with the University of Tokyo Orchestra's rendition of the “Divertimento No.3 in F major 1st movement” by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. President Makoto Gonokami, the executive vice presidents, deans of the Faculties and Graduate Schools and the directors of University Institutes then ascended to the stage in their academic gowns. Following President Makoto Gonokami's presentation of diplomas to the students representing the graduating classes of each Graduate School and the College of Arts and Sciences, the president addressed the audience. The students representing the entire graduating class (Mr. Lu Xu from the Graduate School of Economics and Ms. NG Zhe Ting Dionne from the College of Arts and Sciences) then each gave a speech in response to the president's address, after which the ceremony was concluded.
