AY 2023 Diploma Presentation Ceremony held

The University of Tokyo AY 2023 Diploma Presentation Ceremony was held at Yasuda Auditorium on Thursday, March 21, 2024.

The ceremony was held three times. Accompanied by the University of Tokyo Orchestra’s performance of “Divertimento in D major, K. 136” by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, the president, the executive vice presidents, deans of the Graduate Schools and special guest Mr. MUNEOKA Shoji, chairman of the UTokyo Alumni Association, ascended to the stage in their academic gowns, and the ceremonies began.

President Fujii awarded diplomas to the graduates representing each Graduate School and gave a baccalaureate address to the graduates. Mr. Muneoka then gave a congratulatory address to the graduates, and the representative graduates (1st session: Mr. NAWA Hiroaki from the Graduate School of Public Policy, 2nd session: Mr. ITO Kei from the Graduate School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, 3rd session: Mr. EDA Tomohiro from the Graduate School of Information Science and Technology) made speeches in reply on behalf of the entire graduating class, after which the ceremony was concluded.

Livestreams of the ceremony were provided, and watched by many graduates and their families who were unable to attend the ceremony, as well as the general public.
