About Toshima International Hall of Residence
This housing was built for students of this university with the aim of contributing to the advancement of mutual exchanges through communal life, as well as to provide accommodations and an environment conducive to study.
The facility consists of western-style rooms and communal living spaces. It is a mixed residential space accommodating Japanese undergraduate and postgraduate students, as well as international students. It is hoped that this style of communal living will not only encourage ordinary mutual exchanges but will also promote exchange between students of different cultures. The operations of the communal life in the residence fundamentally are managed autonomously by the residents, and all members of this autonomous organization are obligated to participate actively in it.

Period of Residence
The maximum period of residence is equivalent to the number of years required for graduation, as shown below. Generally speaking, students who have exceeded this period may not reside in the accommodation.
- Undergraduate program senior division: 2 years (however, 3 years for students who have been admitted and placed from technical colleges into the third year of the Faculty of Engineering or Faculty of Agriculture)
- School of Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, or Department of Veterinary Medical Sciences, Faculty of Agriculture: 4 years
- Professional degree program: 1 or 2 years
- School of Law: 2 or 3 years
- Master's program: 2 years
- Doctoral program senior division: 3 years
- Doctoral program including Medicine or Veterinary Medical Sciences: 4 years
- International Research Students: 1 year

2. Common Areas
- Kitchen: sink, worktop, fridge-freezer, gas range, microwave oven, china cupboard/kitchen cabinet, trash can
- Living Room: table, chairs, sofa, trash can, air conditioner
- Laundry / Shower-Room: washing machines, driers, shower units
3. Other: bathroom, Japanese-style room, vending machines
Disabled Person's Room (1 room)
In addition to the facilities and equipment installed in the aforementioned rooms, the disabled person's room is designed to accommodate wheelchair users and is equipped with a bath, combined washing machine and dryer, and a reclining bed.
