Dr. Aruna Rohra Suda received her Ph.D in Physics from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi in 1979. After serving as Lecturer in Physics, Guyana University, Guyana and Post-Doctoral fellow at Trinity College, Dublin, she joined Canon Inc. R & D Headquarters, Japan in 1984. At Canon, she carried out research in the field of Artificial Intelligence, and led the development of next-generation (Internet enabled) Office Equipment. She was also instrumental in starting Canon's India Operations in 1998. In 1999 she founded Saora Inc. and launched Japan’s first web information management tool, Keepoint®, in 2000. Saora received the Red Herring Top 100 Global Innovative Companies award in 2007. She served at Nagaoka University of Technology from 2015 –2018, as a Professor attached to the Japan-India Collaboration project. Dr. Suda has authored ‘Indoshiki Intelligence’ (in Japanese, 2009) and has many research papers and over fifty patents to her credit.
