We are in the age of the risk society.
Social media has been rapidly growing, facilitating cross-interaction with others which influences our mutual relationships of trust, or social capital.
We have invited the leading researcher in computational social sciences, Prof. Dirk Helbing from ETHZ, to speak on this subject at this symposium.
We are going to discuss and understand the process and conditions behind forming publicness and social capital from the viewpoint of computational social sciences.
