Organization of the International Student Support Group, Education and Student Support Department of The University of Tokyo
Its main duties include the administration of student exchange programs with universities in different countries, providing information and handling administrative responsibilities for scholarship applications, and other assistant programs for international students accepted by the University. The Group also functions as the administration office for the International Center. The office is located on the first floor of the Hongo Campus No.2 Building (same building as the International Center).

The main responsibilities of the Student Exchange Division are outlined below.
Planning and Inquiry Section (extention：22566、22371、22089、22564、P22098)
- Acceptance of international students
- Sending students overseas on various scholarships
- Allowances for Japanese Government scholarship students
- Waiver of tuition fees through student exchange agreements
- Costs of international students
- The Student Exchange Committee
- Job placement assistance for international students
- Administration of the International Center
- General affairs and accounting of the International Center
Support Section (extension：22372、22530、22473、22515、P22098) Matters concerning:
- Short-term student exchange promotion program (inbound and outbound)
- Various scholarships and grants for international students
- The University of Tokyo Special Scholarship for International Students (University of Tokyo Fellowship)
- Housing for international students
- Residence status of international students
- Medical expense reimbursement and housing subsidies for international students
- Honors scholarships for international students
- Issuance of a certificate of scholarship entitlement
- Short-term follow-up research programs for former students who have returned to their home countries
