International Lodge, Komaba Lodge, Main, B, C, D

Komaba Lodge Main, B, C and D are intended for international      students of the University of Tokyo. Komaba Lodge Main comprises identical single rooms with a bathroom inside (bathtub, shower, wash basin and toilet). B, C and D provide residents with public shower rooms and toilets. B is for male students and C and D are for female students. The location of the lodge gives easy access to Komaba 1 and 2 campuses, as it is located between the two.

※ Because there is a railway along the premises of Komaba Lodge Main and BCD, the sound of trains reaches some parts of the buildings. Please remember this point if you consider yourself sensitive to sound. Trains run every 2-8 minutes during the daytime hours.

Preliminary Visit to International Lodge
A preliminary visit to an international lodge is open only to the following persons.
    1. Prospective residents (whose residency has been permitted)
    2. Close family members
    3. A host (associate) professor or his/her research or administration staff

A simple procedure is required for a preliminary visit; please refer to “Preliminary Visit to the Lodge” in “Must-read for Future Residents” of the lodge concerned if you are interested.

Housing Office does not accept a preliminary visit by prospective applicants (for residency in international lodges). Instead, they could always refer to photographs and layouts of rooms of each lodge presented in Housing Office’s homepage.

※1  The entrance fee is charged only once. The fee cannot be refunded once it is paid.

※2   If the product of a daily rate and the number of days of stay is greater than the monthly amount, the monthly amount will be adopted. The monthly amount is billed for the stay from the first to the 28th or 29th of February.

※3  Common service fee should be paid on a monthly basis in the move-in or move-out months regardless of the number of days of stay.

◎   The fees cannot be refunded once it is paid.

 

If you plan to leave the lodge well before the final day of your permitted term of residence, please submit “Notification of Departure of the University of Tokyo International Lodge” 14 days before the departure date at the latest.
If a resident fails to submit the notification by the deadline of 14 days before the date of departure, the product of a daily rate and the number of days of delay will be added to the last bill. (For example, if the departure date is 20 November and the submission date is 10 November, the amount for four additional days will be charged.)

Application Period & How to Apply

Applications are accepted twice a year - in January for applicants moving into the Lodge in April, and in June for applicants moving into the Lodge in October.
