Japan Education Fair in Pune 2013

The Monbukagausho Scholars Association of India (MOSAI) (Japanese Government scholars who studied in Japan) organized the Japan Education Fair in Pune on September 8 and 9, 2013 at S.P. College in Pune, following the Japan Education Fairs in New Delhi on Sept. 5 hosted by Ristumeikan University, and in Bangalore on Sept. 7 hosted by the University of Tokyo (UTokyo).
Prof. Jonathan R. WOODWARD (Project Associate Professor, College of Arts and Sciences) and Ms. Takako Hayashi (Program Officer, PEAK Undergraduate Admissions Office) represented UTokyo at the fair while representatives from Waseda University, Nagoya University, Doshisha University and Ritsumeikan University also participated in the fair. There was a good student turnout despite the long, festive weekend.

PEAK delegation visits Bluebells International School, New Delhi

The first student to enroll in the University of Tokyo’s undergraduate PEAK program in 2013 from India studied at Bluebells International School. The PEAK delegation were delighted to meet with the counsellor for higher education, the Japanese language teacher and students from classes 9, 10, 11 and 12 on Sept 10. After the presentation on the PEAK programs, the students had the chance to ask questions directly to their senior who was admitted to the program.
Bluebells Internationals School is one of the schools supported by a Japanese language instructor a member of JICA Overseas Cooperation Volunteer.
