What is your favorite thing about Hiroshima?

The Hiroshima cuisine that I enjoy very much in my city of Higashihiroshima. I like visiting different restaurants around my place. I also like the cycling around the city on weekend afternoons.

In what ways has your impression of Japan changed since coming here?

I think two things that abruptly changed when I came here was the language for communicating and the food. Now I am quite comfortable with the food and also I can speak very little Japanese, so the language barrier is also reducing with time.

What attracted you to choose Hiroshima University as a place to study?

My research area, Humanoid Robotics. I am passionate to work on circuit design for Cyberphysical Systems.

In what ways did you adjust to Japanese culture?

  1. Positive attitude to everything. Specifically the interest to learn new things in life, travelling new places and making friends etc.
  2. Tasting different Japanese Cuisine.
  3. Getting used to the work culture.

Please give a message to students or researchers in your home country who may be thinking about studying in Japan.

Japan has beautiful places to see and smart people to work with. Japan has colorful seasons to spend your afternoon and kind shopkeepers to help you out of a problem. Japan has highest form of technology at every nook and corner, but people know very well how to amalgamate that with their lives and culture.
