Please give a short introduction of yourself.
I am Goyal Chandra Prakash, Doctoral Student from Rajasthan, India. I did my Bachelor of Technology in electronics followed by Masters in Nanotechnology from National Institute of Technology, Bhopal, India. Currently, I am pursuing my Ph.D. in the field of Si-Ge based Thermoelecric Devices in Nanovision Technology Department, Shizuoka University, Hamamatshu, Shizuoka Japan.What is your favorite thing about Hamamatsu City?
I like the climate and weather of Hamamatsu. There city having cleanness, peace and not more crowded.

In what way has your impression of Hamamatsu City or Japan changed since coming here?
I was thinking that I don’t know the Japanese so I will get problem to survive there. But after coming here I found no difficulties because Japanese are very helpful. They give respect to others.
What attracted you to choose Shizuoka University as a place to study?
Shizuoka university is well known for technology, engineering and advanced research. So many Notable person are graduated from here. It having good collaboration from various industries and research labs across the world.
In what way did you adjust yourself to Japanese culture?
I am enjoying the Japanese culture a lot. I celebrated Rice cake party and so many others with Japanese friends. I went for Homestay Programme where I enjoyed the Japanese food, there living and cooking styles. I visited shrine and learn how Japanese pray the god. I visited Onsen, that was fully new for me. I visited so many Malls, Restaurants, Lakes, Hamamatsu castle etc. I enjoyed the Halloween Party, New year celebration.
Please give a message to students or researchers in your home country who may be thinking about studying in Japan?
I suggest my Indian friends to come Japan and study here without any hesitation. So, you can learn recent trends in engineering and Technology. They can explore new things, so they can help India as well Japan in their economy, development and technology.
