Hello, I am Soochi Verma from New Delhi, India. I am 18 years old. I am the first year CRPS student at Ritsumeikan University.
What is your favorite thing about Osaka?
The peaceful and helpful nature of people. The natural beauty of japan.

In what way has your impression of Osaka or Japan changed since coming here?
For a long time back, I had heard that japan is beautiful. It is really good to experience its beauty and feel it. Its beauty lies beyond my thinking and thoughts and people’s keenness to help changed my perspective.
What attracted you to choose Ritsumeikan University as a place to study?
The great educational standards and subject choices along with faculty members from diverse countries attracted me. Moreover, the scholarship program played an important part in my decision. Basically, Ritsumeikan gave me a platform to study what I always wished to and what’s my passion.
In what way did you adjust yourself to Japanese culture?
It was not difficult except for language and communication difficulty. People over here are so polite and helpful that they made it easy for me to adapt and be comfortable.
Please give a message to students or researchers in your home country who may be thinking about studying in Japan?
I can give a guarantee that if anybody will come to japan and RU they will not be able to resist themselves to fall in love with the place. RU provides a platform and opens new opportunities for you deal with and study about global issues and handle them from different views. It increases your limits and horizons. Eventually you will be proud to be an RU student.
