I am Vijayakumar Parthiba Raja, from India . Doing my Master Degree in Applied chemistry and Bio-chemical engineering in Shizuoka university.
What is your favorite thing about Hamamatsu City?
- Hamamatsu castle

- Sanaru Lake
In what way has your impression of Hamamatsu City or Japan changed since coming here?
No, everything are almost the same as I expected, because the whole world knows about Japan, about the people and their culture, and for what they are famous for, and I am motivated by seeing everything around, now I am on my own. I am proud of myself to being here.
What attracted you to choose Shizuoka University as a place to study?
The place where I can get world class education. The most important things are the opportunity they are providing with world class companies likes Honda , Suzuki and Yamaha.
In what way did you adjust yourself to Japanese culture?
It's hard initially, but after seeing them I got motivated by myself, especially my Japanese friends.
Please give a message to students or researchers in your home country who may be thinking about studying in Japan?
To my friends, I would like to say, that if you are planning to do higher studies, don't miss the opportunity in Japan, from where you can get bulk of knowledge and innovative thinking.
