What is your favorite thing about Kyoto?

The fusion of both traditional and modern culture, the spell bounding natural beauty, the peaceful and historic places including temples and shrines. And most importantly, the benevolent and helping people of Kyoto.

In what way has your impression of Kyoto or Japan changed since coming here?

Well the impression before was, it’s hard to maintain a work - life balance in Japan, but the ease of transportation and quite compassionate people around made it all easy to manage the time rightly, and to give the best in your work as well.

What attracted you to choose Kyoto University as a place to study?

The outstanding and advanced cutting-edge research in all the fields, particularly in the field (Environment and Water Quality) I am quite interested in, attracted me to Kyoto University. Well facilitated Laboratory with advanced equipment’s, supportive environment and committed faculty & staff that in every way lead you to your best positive outcome. Importantly, there is no language problem as the teachings are also in English.

In what way did you adjust yourself to Japanese culture?

Japanese culture follows some rules and has some values that almost all foreigners accept it with respect, at the same time it is flexible too. So it was quite easy for me to adjust in Japanese culture.

Please give a message to students or researchers in your home country who may be thinking about studying in Japan?

Studying in Japan is a great opportunity. To have a significant and lasting research contribution to the field which we belong to, sometimes we need to think out of the box, At the same time, an access to advance technologies, better as well as safe environment, along with timely guidance is indispensable and that is easily available in Japan, for any dedicated individual.
