Please give a short introduction of yourself.

My name is Sparsh Mishra. I am a first year student studying applied physics at Nagoya University. I am from India and have spent almost all of my life in India.

What is your favorite thing about Nagoya?

The learning environment in Nagoya is one of my favorite things about it.

In what way has your impression of Nagoya or Japan changed since coming here?

Before coming to Japan I thought that coming to Japan, living in a different country and getting settled would be very difficult and would take a lot of time. However after arriving, I noticed how people readily helped people in need of help. This made it easier to adjust and settle in Nagoya.

What attracted you to choose Nagoya University as a place to study?

Nagoya University has an excellent course in applied physics. It is also very well recognized. These qualities of the University made me choose Nagoya University as a place to study.

I had to learn to address people in a manner that is very polite and talk in a calm manner.

Please give a message to students or researchers in your home country who may be thinking about studying in Japan?

Japan is a great place to study. Universities are well reputed and the cities (such as Nagoya) are full of life. Japanese also has a beautiful culture. A combination of these factors will make a very pleasant stay in Japan and very enriching life experience.
