What is your favorite thing about Sendai city?

The city of Sendai is quiet and calm which is probably the reason why I am much attracted to this city. Also, the weather is really nice and the people are very helpful and affectionate.

In what way has your impression of Sendai or Japan changed since coming here?

My impression was always the same even before I arrived here. Even when I was in India, I had the utmost the respect for people and Japan and we always praise the Japanese people for their ability to work hard, and also for their polite nature. After arriving in Japan and getting a chance to getting close to the Japanese culture, I am really happy to be able to have been a part of this culture with the utmost respect from my heart.

What attracted you to choose Tohoku University as a place to study?

Tohoku University is a renowned university all over the world. Located in the city of Sendai, the engineering department of Tohoku university with some of the most reputed professors in the world is always aimed at high level education for the students and this is what prompted me to choose the engineering department of Tohoku University.

In what way did you adjust yourself to Japanese culture?

To get adjusted to the Japanese culture, I learned Japanese language after arriving at Tohoku University. It is of great help not only for day to day living but also for communication with people everywhere in the country. Apart from that, there was not much to adjust since it is very convenient to live here in Japan.

Please give a message to students or researchers in your home country who may be thinking about studying in Japan?

For all the students in India, I would suggest that Japan is one of the best places to pursue your education. With a lot of educational facilities and world class education and research facilities, it is definitely worth studying and learning here. The government and other organizations also provide fellowships due to which it also becomes much easier to survive and carry on with the education.
