Please give a short introduction about yourself.

I am from Goa, India but my family roots are in Maharashtra. I enjoy reading novels and painting but due to my busy schedule, I do not get enough time. I like to spend my time outside with my friends eating at restaurants and watching movies.

What is your favorite thing about Aizu?

Aizu is a quiet place away from the crowd. A very peaceful place with good environment to live. It does not have much snowfall unlike other places in Japan. A place where you can take a break and relax.

In what ways has your impression of Aizu changed since coming here?

I used to think Aizu would be a place with a lot of people around though calm and quiet. After coming here, I realized that there are not many people around. A place where you can think peacefully and get some inspiration from the scenic beauty.

What attracted you to choose University of Aizu as a place to study?

I always wanted to study computers. University of Aizu, being a computer specialized university was a very good factor in choosing this university. In India, I stay in a peaceful place away from the metropolitian city, Aizu seemed to be the same.

Please write a message to students or researchers in your home country who may be thinking about studying in Japan.

Japan is a nice and safe country even for girls to stay alone. The snow experience in winter is really good as I never got to experience it in my country. The food also is not a problem as most of the Indian groceries are available in Tokyo and they deliver everywhere in Japan. Vegetables are few but manageable if you cook everyday. Japan is not that expensive compared to other countries in terms of Education and financial expenses as well..
