The university will host “On Diversity and Inclusion of the University of Tokyo: Dialogue with President Fuji about issuing ‘Statement on Diversity and Inclusion.”
UTokyo Compass, released as a guiding principle of the university, states in “Perspective 3-1” that we will “form a university culture that fosters and applies a capacity for dialogue and empathy.” Furthermore, it declares that “in order to complete our profile as a university that places emphasis on dialogue and is open to all people, we will draw up and disseminate a declaration on diversity and inclusion.” As the university readies itself to issue this “Statement on Diversity and Inclusion,” the president wishes to discuss diversity and inclusion of the university with the members of the university community to continue creating a better campus environment.
