Sanjo Conference Hall

Sanjo Conference Hall was established on the site of the Sanjo Chamber at Hongo campus as part of the celebrations of the 100th anniversary of foundation of the University of Tokyo. The purpose of the Hall is to promote academic exchange and to develop research and education of the Unversity of Tokyo. Besides accommodation rooms, there are conference rooms, dining room and lounge in the Hall.


Sanjo Conference Hall is temporarily not available due to renovation work.
The hall is planned to be available from October, 2018.
Please use Sanjo Conference Hall Tatsuokamon Annex during this period.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

Fees (as of April 1, 2008)

* Payment of accommodation fees is required at least 14 days in advance of your arrival, either in cash at the Sanjo Conference Hall office or by transfer to the account designated by the University of Tokyo. (In the case of transfer, any charges are to be borne by the sender.) Cancellations within two weeks of the start of your reservation will incur a cancellation charge.

Application Period & How to Apply

In the period from 6 months prior to, and at least 14 days prior to arrival

Please apply by completing the application form provided by University of Tokyo staff. If you would like to reserve a room, please consult with the staff responsible.

Check-in: Please receive a room key at the office of the Sanjo Conference Hall from 14.00 to 17.00 on weekdays.

Check-out: Please leave the room before 10.00.
