This page is for those who would like to apply for the International Halls of Residence and International Lodges as their first choice and the Mejirodai Internatioal Village as their second choice. If you do not fit into this category, please return to the previous page.

Eligibility for Application

International Students who satisfy the following requirements:

1.	(a)	International Students who are either enrolled or are already fixed to be enrolled at UTokyo. International Students who are to be enrolled at Utokyo from April, 2020 are also eligible to apply.
	(b)	Prospective International Students to be sent by overseas partner universities based on their International Academic Exchange Agreements with UTokyo

When applying for the International Halls of Residence & Lodges: International Students who have not stayed at either of the UTokyo accommodations for over a period of 6 months within 3 years from the date they are to move into the UTokyo accommodation in April, 2020, except for the following two cases.

	Case 1:	International Students who have stayed at the Mitaka International Hall of Residence during their 1st year-2nd year enrollment at UTokyo's Junior Division.
	Case 2:	International Students who have stayed at the Kashiwa Lodge and who would like to apply again for their additional stay there.

Note:

Requirement 2. does not apply for the Mejirodai International Village.  All International Students are eligible to apply for the Mejirodai International Village regardless of their past stay at the UTokyo accommodations.

Important Notes when Applying via OSTA
(For International Students)

■	Your Term of Residence at the Mejirodai International Village The start of the permitted term of residence will be set from the very first day of each month and all fees will be charged based on your permitted term of residence that is to be printed on your "Notification of Admission."

OSTA Login Password

A Login Password is required to make an application through OSTA. If you do not know the password, please contact:

• Person in charge of support for International Students at your faculty, graduate school, research institute or research center that you are to belong at UTokyo, OR
• The UTokyo Housing Office

Schedule from Application to Notification of Result

If you want to apply for the International Halls of Residence and International Lodges as your first choice and the Mejirodai International Village as your second choice, please be sure to apply for each one during the following designated period. Do not apply prior to or beyond this designated period, for your application may turn out to be invalid.

1. Schedule for the International Halls of Residence & Lodges

Period of Application:	2019/12/26～2020/1/25 (JST24:00)
Notification of Result:	Around 2020/2/20
Move-in Date (if successful):	Mitaka International Hall of Residence → 2020/3/30 ~ Other International Halls of Residence → 2020/4/1 ~ International Lodges → 2020/4/1 ~ 4/7

2. Schedule for the Mejirodai International Village

Period of Application:	2020/2/20 ~ 2020/2/25 (JST24:00)
Notification of Result:	Around 2020/3/13
Move-in Date (if successful):	2020/4/1 ~ 2020/4/7
Room Types Available:	For Single Use → Shared Type A/B rooms*     (Vacancies: approx. 150 each for males & females) *The Shared Type A/B rooms are the single-use private rooms with a shared kitchen, shared showers and lavatories. For Couple Use → Independent H Type rooms (Vacancies: only a few)

If you are one of the following, you will be required to submit the designated additional documents below at the time of application.

(a)	An International Student wanting to apply for the couple rooms and family rooms at the UTokyo accommodations. ・An official document verifying the relationship between the applicant and the person who    wish to live together.
