Mitaka International Hall of Residence

Mitaka International Hall of Residence provides accommodations for domestic students who are enrolled in the University of Tokyo College of Arts and Sciences, and international students who are enrolled in the undergraduate senior division program or graduate program. The Hall provides an opportunity for domestic and international students to meet each other. Seventy percent of residents are domestic students, and thirty percent are international students.

Internet Access Fees: monthly basic rate (Residents need to arrange a contract with a company themselves.)

For the restoration work after move-out, residents will be charged a lump sum of 60,000 yen after their move-in.

Application Period & How to Apply

International students: Applications are accepted twice a year - in January for applicants moving into the Hall in April, and in June for applicants moving into the Hall in October.
(Domestic Students: Applications are accepted once a year, from applicants moving into the Hall in April.)

International students: Please contact the international student affairs section at the relevant faculty.
(Domestic students: Please contact the Student Scholarship and Welfare Group, Education and Student Support Department.)

Nearest Station / Access from the Airport

Get off at the "Kichijoji" station on the JR Chuo or Keio Inokashira line Take an Odakyu bus bound for "Musashisakai South Exit" or "Chofu station North Exit" for about 20 minutes
Either get off at "Mitaka-nokyomae" or "Shinkawa-dori" bus stop, and walk for about 5 minutes

About 15 minutes by bicycle from "Mitakadai" station on the Keio Inokashira line
