Visit of Prof. Ignacio S?nchez D.,President of Pontificia Universidad Cat?lica de Chile

On Wednesday, October 30, Prof. Ignacio Sánchez D., President of Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, one of the important partners of the UTokyo Forum held in Santiago, Chile from November 7-8, visited our university to meet with President Junichi Hamada, and attend the signing ceremony for the Agreement of Academic Exchange and Memorandum on Student Exchange.

Subsequently, President Sánchez met with EVP Prof. Yoichiro Matsumoto and Vice President Prof. Masashi Haneda to exchange views and opinions on the preparation of the UTokyo Forum as well as our future cooperation. Prof. Hiroaki Aihara, Dean of the Graduate School of Science, Prof. Takane Ito, Vice Dean of the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences and Prof. Mamoru Doi of the Graduate School of Science also joined the discussion.

In addition, President Sánchez visited the University of Tokyo Hospital (Prof. Tadashi Iwanaka, Vice Director and Prof. Akira Oka), as well as Division of University Corporate Relations (Prof. Shigeo Kagami, General Manager of Office of Science Entrepreneurship and Enterprise Development)
