Disseminating information during disasters
Information related to disasters will be provided through the following.
Standards for establishing the university-wide disaster response headquarters
In the event of an earthquake of intensity 5 or more occuring in the Bunkyo, Meguro, Minato, or Nakano Wards of Tokyo, or in Kashiwa City, Chiba Prefecture, a Response Headquarters will be established and initiated as appropriate or automatically if the seismic intensity is lower 6 or more.
Safety confirmation
We have introduced a “safety confirmation service” as a tool for confirming the safety of students and all academic and administrative staff members in the event of a disaster such as a major earthquake. Emails are automatically sent in the event of earthquakes with a seismic intensity of lower 5 or more. If you receive such an email, please indicate your status. Students are requested to register their email addresses in the academic affairs system and the academic and administrative staff in the personnel information system.
2nd evacuation area
As a response to occurrence of a disaster, a roll call check is performed immediately after evacuation in front of each building (1st evacuation area). Then, if necessary, everyone is to move to the 2nd evacuation area assigned to each faculty/graduate school and assemble by departments.
Location of 2nd evacuation area (accessible only through university network)
