UTokyo Signs Collaboration Agreement with Rice University (USA)

The University of Tokyo finalized a university-wide agreement with America's Rice University on April 1st, 2014. The signing ceremony for this memorandum of understanding took place at Rice, with Executive Vice President Matsumoto attending the ceremony on behalf of President Hamada, and Rice University President David W. Leebron signing the memorandum. This agreement, which lasts for five years, is expected to encourage active academic interaction between the two universities, such as through the exchange of faculty members and students as well as the pursuit of collaborative research.
