Signing Ceremony of Agreement with CONICYT, Chile

On September 3, Dr. Jose Miguel Aguilera Radic, President of CONICYT (Chilean National Commission for Scientific and Technological Research), and H.E. Mr. Patricio Torres, Ambassador of Chile to Japan visited the University of Tokyo to attend the signing ceremony for the agreement to promote the training of Chilean PhD students, postdocs in all fields and Bachelor of Engineering students’ internships to the University of Tokyo.

On the day of their visit, the a public “Seminar on Opportunities for Academic and Scientific Cooperation between Chile and Japan” was held, where presentations were given on science and technology policies in Chile, funding programs of CONICYT and JSPS, as well as international collaboration in the field of seismology, tsunamis, volcanology and astronomy.
