Symposium on Data-Driven Future Society 2022 & mdx Tutorial held

The Symposium on Data-Driven Future Society 2022 & mdx Tutorial, organized by the Data Platform Initiative of the UTokyo Future Society Initiative, was held online on Tuesday, December 20, 2022.

The symposium was held for the fourth time to discuss the ideal data-utilizing society, with lectures by experts in a wide range of fields on advanced efforts to promote data utilization toward the realization of an inclusive society.

Following opening remarks by Teruo Fujii, President of UTokyo, Masaru Kitsuregawa, Director of the National Institute of Informatics, and Naoto Kimura, Deputy Director-General of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, eight experts gave lectures. In addition to the lectures, a tutorial on the mdx platform was implemented for the first time. There were many questions and comments about both the lectures and tutorial from the participants, and lively discussions took place. The symposium ended successfully with more than 480 registered participants.
