Symposium on Data-Driven Future Society 2023 held

The Symposium on Data-Driven Future Society 2023, organized by the Data Platform Initiative of the UTokyo FSI, was held online on December 12, 2023.

The symposium was held for the fifth time to discuss the ideal data-utilizing society, with lectures by experts in a wide range of fields on advanced efforts to promote data utilization toward the realization of an inclusive society.

Following opening remarks by Teruo Fujii (President of UTokyo), Sadao Kurohashi (Director of the NII) and Seiichi Shimazaki (Director for Information Science and Technology, Reseach Promotion Bureau of MEXT), eleven experts gave lectures. The lectures received many questions and comments from the participants, and lively discussions took place. The symposium ended successfully with more than 5,000 registered participants.
