Regarding the outbreak of fire

A fire broke out in a laboratory at the Pharmaceutical Sciences Research Building on Hongo Campus at around 9:05 am on Sunday, August 15th. The fire department was called to the site and the fire was confirmed to have been extinguished by the fire department at 3:30 pm.

We deeply apologize for any inconvenience that may have been caused by this fire to everyone involved, including all the people living in the neighborhood.

The actual cause of the fire is still under investigation, but we will strive to prevent its recurrence and ensure thorough safety management so that this will not happen in the future.
