Regarding the Results of the Screening for Universities for International Research Excellence (Message from the President)

We regret that the University of Tokyo has not been selected as a designated candidate in the recent screening for Universities for International Research Excellence.

As an institution dedicated to serving the global public, the University of Tokyo will continue to work toward establishing a new university model that expands our autonomous and creative activities by leveraging our accumulated efforts in promoting research and education that are competitive and comparable with the best in the world. We also remain committed to reform throughout every part of our university.
