The Graduate School of Frontier Sciences (GSFS), UTokyo is promoting its partnership with MIT and Industry. As a part of this partnership, a mixed team of graduate students and industry participants had a three-month stay at MIT to conduct a design project for a system of systems. We discuss the future of the program with the four organizations participating in the program: Nippon Yusen, Japan Marine United, Nippon Kaiji Kyokai (ClassNK) and the National Maritime Research Institute.
