Unfortunately, due to unavoidable circumstances this event has been cancelled.

With the increase of international exchange students learning in Japan, it is conceivable that there is a rising awareness of the need to uplift the educational quality of Japanese universities. In response to such needs, we will launch special programs for building Faculty Development from global perspectives.

This time we will be holding a special seminar inviting Dr. William Rando, the director of the Chicago Center for Teaching who has significant experience in founding the Yale Teaching Center at Yale University and leading the Chicago Center for Teaching at the University of Chicago.

Considering the current situation and issues of research universities’ FD in both the U.S. and Japan, we intend to deepen the understanding of each stakeholder of FD in the context of globalizing higher education.

Who should apply: Anyone interested in research universities’ current situation and the issues in FD
