“Building a New 'Economic and Financial Order' in the Asia-Pacific Region”

The international economic framework in the Asia-Pacific region is currently
undergoing a dramatic change, as demonstrated by the establishment of the
Asia Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) and the broad agreement reached
at the ministerial meeting of the Trans-Pacific Partnership free trade
negotiations.

Against such a background, this symposium will be held as follows to discuss
what kind of role Japan and the U.S. can cooperatively play considering the
changing international economic system in the Asia-Pacific region.
