The Fourth Joint Symposium between the University of Cambridge and the University of Tokyo -Sustainability and Innovation for Society- will be held at Sanjo Conference Hall of the University of Tokyo Hongo Campus on 27 March 2019. The Symposium will include talks from the heads of both universities, Professor Makoto Gonokami and Professor Stephen Toope; they will both talk on ‘The Contribution of the University to Innovation in Society and Industry’. Following this, there will be a panel discussion, where the pro-vice-chancellors and vice presidents of the two universities will be discussing the actual strategies of the two universities. In the afternoon session, showcases of existing and future possible collaborations will be presented and discussed.
