Our tour will begin with an introduction to the fundamental elements of Arabic Music with live instruments, which will be followed by a historical sketch of the relationship between musical production and politics in Lebanon by focusing on the oeuvre of prominent composers, the Rahbani brothers and the Lebanese diva, Fairuz. We will then touch on the rich compositional musical world of Ziad Rahbani (1956-2025), to whose memory our concert is dedicated.
