The joint R&D project "CMI," in collaboration with the Institute of Industrial Science, The University of Tokyo, 22 companies including Boeing, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Kawasaki Heavy Industries and SUBARU, Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and NEDO, has now entered into its seventh year from April 2019.
The growing aircraft industry is seeking new high-efficiency manufacturing technology in the globalization of commercial aircraft production. We at CMI will continue to research and develop innovative manufacturing technologies that meet the needs of the aircraft industry. In this symposium, lectures on the latest administrative trends in aircraft manufacturing, aircraft market trends and technical trends will be given and we will also introduce achievements and activities of the CMI.
