Abstract

The rise of dollar-backed stablecoins has brought both domestic and international financial systems into question. Through clear and illustrative examples, this lecture introduces new technologies (like blockchain, multilateral algorithms, and encryption) and explores the potential for an international platform which supports multi-currency exchange and contracting.
