Abstract
This study revisits the Japan–South Asia human resource nexus by examining the role of Sri Lankan immigrant entrepreneurs in Japan through longitudinal surveys conducted in 2006, 2016, and 2026. It explores how these entrepreneurs establish businesses, generate employment, support migrant and student networks, and strengthen economic and social ties between Japan and South Asia. The findings show that immigrant entrepreneurs serve as important intermediaries in the circulation of skills, knowledge, capital, technology, and employment opportunities.Program
