Now accepting online applications for the 2024 program!

The Amgen Scholars Program is a summer internship program aimed at cultivating future scientists and innovators, primarily targeting undergraduate students majoring in medical and life sciences. The program is conducted at over 20 universities and institutions worldwide, offering practical, specialized, and intensive research experiences. Expenses such as airfare, accommodation, and living allowances are covered by the program.
Students from the University of Tokyo can apply not only to the program at the University of Tokyo but also to programs held at Kyoto University, a selected institution in the Asia Program, as well as the National University of Singapore and Tsinghua University. In all of these programs, motivated students gather and actively engage in research activities.


UTokyo Amgen Scholars Program features:
   -  A 8-week research opportunity provided by faculty members of the Graduate School of MedicineGraduate School of Engineering
       Graduate School of ScienceGraduate School of Agricultural and Life SciencesGraduate School of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Institute of Industrial Science.
   -  Financial support including accomodation and stipend
   -  Special seminars and sessions where students can meet and have discussions
   -  Cultural events and excursions etc.

Application period November 1, 2023 - February 1, 2024 3PM (JST)
Program period June 4, 2024 - August 3, 2024
