| Biography | Flowers are important hubs of ecosystems where plants, insects, and microorganisms gather. Plant flowers play are integrated into our society in the form of flower gardens, fragrance, and food production. I aim to understand how pollen and pistils distinguish between self and non-self or different species, and how they compete with symbiotic microorganisms. We explore the "secret flower gardens" to elucidate the basic life principles that shape complex ecosystems. |
