Professor Dr. H.R.H. Princess Chulabhorn Mahidol of the Kingdom of Thailand Visits UTokyo

On Friday, 22nd December, 2017, Professor Dr. H.R.H. Princess Chulabhorn Mahidol of the Kingdom of Thailand visited the University of Tokyo.
President Makoto Gonokami, Prof. Masashi Haneda (Executive Vice President), Prof. Mamoru Mitsuishi (Executive Director and Vice President), and Prof. Naoto Sekimura (Vice President) of UTokyo had the great honor of discussing about the future cooperation between Thailand and Japan with Professor Dr. H.R.H. Princess Chulabhorn Mahidol.
Following this audience, Professor Dr. H.R.H. Princess Chulabhorn Mahidol visited the School of Science where she was given an explanation about molecular dynamics in intense laser fields from Prof. Kaoru Yamanouchi while being shown around a laboratory and its equipment.
Professor Dr. H.R.H. Princess Chulabhorn Mahidol has been active as a researcher, and established the Chulabhorn Research Institute and the Chulabhorn Royal Academy. With her delightful experiences, UTokyo has received precious opinions on university management from Her Highness since 2006 as a member of President’s Council and as an honorary member of the UTokyo Global Advisory Board from 2017.
