AY 2025 Commencement Ceremony held

The University of Tokyo AY 2025 Commencement Ceremony was held at Yasuda Auditorium on Wednesday, March 25, 2026.

The ceremony was held three times. Accompanied by the University of Tokyo Orchestra’s performance of “Eine Kleine Nachtmusik G major, K.525” by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, the president, the executive vice presidents, deans of the Faculties and special guest Mr. KUNIBE Takeshi, president of the UTokyo Alumni Association, ascended to the stage in their academic gowns, and the ceremonies began.

President Fujii awarded diplomas to the graduates representing each Faculty and gave a baccalaureate address to the graduates. Mr. Kunibe then gave a congratulatory address to the graduates, and the representative graduates (1st session: Mr. HASHIMOTO Kento from the Faculty of Economics, 2nd session: Mr. TOMENO Kohta from the College of Arts and Sciences, 3rd session: Mr. ORII Shion from the Faculty of Medicine) made speeches in reply on behalf of the entire graduating class, after which the ceremony was concluded.

Livestreams of the ceremony were provided, and watched by many graduates and their families who were unable to attend the ceremony, as well as the general public.
