Abstract

While students may have been introduced to the three main scientific variables (independent, dependent, and controlled variables) in high school, some find it difficult applying these variables correctly when conducting scientific experiments at higher education. This difficulty is evident in science experiments, where a thorough understanding of the scientific variables is important for designing proper investigations and performing rigorous analyses. This talk will describe how molecular models were used to give a detailed explanation of the scientific variables in a seminal article on organ catalysis.
