Currently, the Department of Advanced Materials Science’s collaboration with RIKEN, the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST), the National Institute for Materials Science (NIMS), SPring-8 (a large-scale synchrotron radiation facility), and NanoTerasu (a 3GeV high-brilliance synchrotron radiation facility), has led us to become the world’s largest research center for interdisciplinary materials science, based on physics, chemistry, materials science, applied physics, and applied chemistry. In this robust environment, where we conduct leading materials science research, we are offering a new type of interdisciplinary materials science education aiming to develop researchers and engineers who can play an active role on the international stage in the future. Under the guidance of our distinguished faculty, let’s study and practice cutting-edge science and share it with the world.
