1st Prize: ¥300,000 and a trip to Brisbane, Australia
2nd Prize: ¥200,000
People’s Choice Award: ¥100,000
Prizes will be awarded as research grants to the winning students’ labs.
About the Competition
The Three Minute Thesis competition (3MT) is a speech competition where students currently pursuing a PhD speak about their research for three minutes with one static PowerPoint slide. All research topics are welcome. 3MT provides participants with an opportunity to practice presentation and communication skills and network with other researchers. The UTokyo winner will join the 3MT international competition in Australia.
About the Information Sessions
These Information Sessions are casual opportunities to learn more about the competition or receive personalized advice on your application. Please drop-in to an Information Session whenever is convenient for you. No reservation is necessary.
Anyone is welcome to drop-in to the Info Sessions. 3MT Competitors must be current UTokyo PhD students as of May 2020.
