Technical and scientific writing can often seem rather "cut and dry": rather routine in nature since most, if not all, of such writing follows a specific pattern and hence, may seem uninteresting to many. The purpose of such writing is, however, to make the readers understand the true nature of a problem, your suggested solution (hypothesis) and its underlying rationale, your experimental method and why you chose that particular one, your results, and much, much more.
Since scientific research worldwide published in English almost surely outweighs that published in any other language, continually honing your technical writing skills in English is highly recommended. Kashiwa International Office (KIO) offers an English Consultation Service that helps writers improve the technical writing skills, reviews journal article submissions in addition to other requests. Appointments can be made through the KIO website.
