In addition to the promotion of inclusion in communities and societies, Tojisha-Kenkyu is also attracting attention as a method for creating organizations where diverse members, including not only the minority, but also the majority, can play an active role while maintaining wellbeing. The Research Center for Advanced Science and Technology, with support from the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) Grant-in-Aid for Transformative Research Areas (A) and Moonshot, has begun to implement the Tojisha-Kenkyu program and verify its effectiveness in companies, prisons, university laboratories, etc. In 2020, the “Inclusive Design School” was established within the University of Tokyo Extension Corporation to provide the outreach activity “Introductory Course to Tojisha-Kenkyu” for the general public.
